Assess and monitor population health status, factors that influence health, and community needs and assets

Investigate, diagnose, and address health problems and hazards affecting the population

Communicate effectively to inform and educate people about health, factors that influence it, and how to improve it

Strengthen, support, and mobilize communities and partnerships to improve health

Board of Health

One of the main duties of the local Board of Health members is to appoint a health director/administrator as well as act in a general advisory capacity to the health director/administrator on all matters relating to the local department of health. We are fortunate to have a well-groomed board of health who not only donate their time to govern the local health department but who have a vested interest in the well-being of our community and our countyā€™s health.
